Worst after-game traffic

Saw a thread earlier about certain fans leaving the games early, most likely to beat the traffic. Wanted to get everybody's opinion about where you think is the worst after-game traffic.

I'm sure there are worse, but one that pops to mind for me is Lee High. Being right next to a highway doesn't help traffic flow at all.

Lee isn't too bad IMO because generally they have cops monitoring traffic flow from what I remember. Any place that hosts a lot of big games/crowds though will be a bit of a pain.

It's not too bad if you're coming out of the park going towards Jonesville. But if you're going towards Pennington, expect a wait, especially if traffic on the west-bound lane is up.

It also doesn't help when people want to park on the main road. The last few years, though, the Sheriff's dept. directs the traffic out of Lee High, the Vocational School, and where you turn to go up by the stadium toward the baseball field. That helps so much.

World's worst in this area with all the big games being played there all the time is ERVINGTON!! The traffic in Nora is pitiful.

I'm usually on the vocational side, so can't say much about the other part, other than they have indeed been directing traffic at those spots for a while. Haven't noticed the police directing traffic over at the vocational school much, maybe they just don't stay there as long as the others. Usually I try to pull out into the turn lane and merge over when I'm over there, to help things out. And the parking along the entrances like the Vo-Tech makes things tough sometimes...its tight enough getting through there (can't have another coming in either) and then its hard to see sometimes too. Most people probably don't realize that if it looks full, just stay to the right and go on around to where it dead ends at the fence, usually its open there on the right side (if people are smart enough to leave it open) and you can pull behind into that area in the grass and park. So parking shouldn't be a problem. It may be a little farther walk but its not much more. I have seen it occasionally in the middle near the drug-free sign also. Basketball season you get to experience the parking in the road too, beside the school which takes up one of the lanes and if you pull out of the front area near the bridge and auditorium it can be hard to see cars coming up. Had plenty pull out in front of me coming down from the far student parking lot.

People have voiced concerns about that intersection for years too regarding school and game traffic and wanted to see a traffic light go up but they can't put one up there. Then again, maybe its good thing, it could be just as dangerous (remember how many accidents we had when the one at Wal-Mart went up). Speaking of the traffic through there and Pennington, you also have the bridge work there at the Food City intersection and that longer wait. I bet it was mess today with the Tobacco Festival going on. Said the other day that I hoped that if the game was canceled that it would be played Monday instead or it would've really made a mess of things.

Try to park on the hill so that I can go out the gate by the baseball field. That works really great, most of the time.

You are right. That intersection is really dangerous, especially when buses pull out onto the main road and go all the way across the road to the far lane. I am really surprised that more accidents have not occur.

I heard that traffic was a nightmare today in Pennington. The light at Subway was not working properly.
